Material Impressions xiii is a conceptual drawing exploring the agency of materials.  Arising from research into fast fashion, this 36" x 36" artwork crafted with graphite on paper explores how different textiles. Made in conjunction with my grandmother's old fur coat, the original impression is worked into with meditative approaches to mark-making to draw attention to the compelling dialogue between historical themes and contemporary expression.
